Everything announced at Made by Google event

 This year's Google event was held on 13th October 2024 at Google's Bay View campus in Mountain View, today I will give you a brief summary of some of the announcement 


Some Made By Google Announcements

Gemini era

1. Gemini Nano was introduced, a multi-modal AI model designed for the Pixel 9 series ensuring your data never leaves your phone
2. Gemini AI Assistant: Google assistant is being replaced by Gemini which combines personal information with Google's world knowledge so Gemini can carry out operations like 'Create a daily workout based on my personal trainer's email' So Gemini would go through your personal trainer's email and create a workout routine based on what your trainer said in the email. 

3. Gemini live:  It allows you to have a conversation with Gemini 

Pixel 9 series 

1. Design: The Pixel 9 series have four smartphones including Pixel 9, Pixel 9 pro, Pixel 9 pro XL and Pixel 9 pro fold. 
Pixel 9: It has a stunning 6.3' actua display with flat edges which is the first for a pixel. The new Pixel 9 series comes with a new under display ultra sonic fingerprint sensor and comes with the tensor G4 and 12GB of RAM
Pixel 9 pro & 9 pro XL: The Pixel 9 pro has the same 6.3' display as the vanilla model, while the pro XL has a larger 6.8' super actua display this is the first time google is creating to pro sizes. The two models come with the same display, camera's and processor with 16GB RAM
Pixel 9 pro fold: It's thinner and lighter than the previous generation, with an expansive 8' super actua flex display with 3000 nits. It also has the G4 processor with 16GB RAM.


2. AI features 
A. New Pixel Weather app: An app that gives you a summary of the weather. In the homeview Gemini generates a weather report you can also customize the app's home view widgets
B. Call notes: It gives you a complete summary of the conversation 
C. Pixel Screenshot: It's an app that helps you to save and organize your screenshots
D. Pixel studio: An app that helps you transform text to image. 


3. AI powered Camera
A. Night sight panoramas
B. Add me: It allows you to take a group photo and be in the photo at the same time 
C. Made you look: It helps you to take photos of babies on the fold by using creative animations on the cover screen to get your child's attention 
D. Pro controls coming to Pixel 9 pro fold 
E. Magic editor: It brings new AI features including auto framing and some other new features 
F. Dual exposure: Takes two exposures and combines them into one exposure in real time 

Pixel watch 3

1 Design: It comes with a new larger 45mm variant, a bigger battery and a super actua display that's up to 2000 nits of peak brightness 
2. Fitbit health and fitness tracking: It introduces new metrics for runners, a new readiness score, a new cardio load metric and so much more 
3. Loss of pulse detection

Pixel buds pro 2

1. Premium sound: Google released their first pixel buds chip, A1. It brings low latency audio processing, the pixel buds also brings 2x ANC 
2. Battery Life: The pixel buds pro 2 features 8hrs of listening with ANC and 30hrs of listening with charging. 
3. Gemini: The pixel buds pro 2 comes with hands and eyes free Gemini, and also supports Gemini live.

Pricing 

The Pixel 9 starts at $799, the Pixel 9 pro and Pixel 9 pro XL start at $999 and $1099 respectively and finally the Pixel 9 pro fold starts at $1799.
The pixel watch on the other hand starts at $349 for the 41mm model and $399 for the 45mm model
And finally the pixel buds pro 2 starts at $229
All these products will be available next month and are already available for pre-order.
